Happy Birthday Holly

Today is my sister-in-laws birthday. She is always so good about getting a post for everyone I thought I would do one for her! She is awesome to have in the family, she is thoughtful about everyone and tries to make things personal for us all. She was so helpful when Jeff and I were planning the wedding, I don't know what I would have done without her during some of the crazy times. She is a fabulous mom to the two beautiful kids and now an amazing aunt! Thanks Holly for everything you have done we love you! Happy Birthday!!

Happy Birthday Jeff!!!

I have missed a couple Birthdays lattely but things have been way busy. Jeff turned 28 on Sunday and I made sure the primary kids sang to him on our first Sunday in there... It was perfect for him! I has been so much fun being married to him. I just want to share some things I love about this man.
1. I love how hard of a worker he is
2. I love how patient he is with me! :)
3. I love how cute he is with kids
4. I love that whenever I ask for something he says ok. Sometimes I test him and he really does say yes to almost everything, so cute!
5. I love to watch him with our incredibly high maintenance dog... He will never give up on him!
6. I love how much he loves his sweets and still looks amazing!
7. I love his constant motivation he has to go to the gym 5 days a week, it helps me stay motivated!
8. He is such a caring loving person and doesn't like to leave anyone out. No matter how tired he gets he tries to make it to everything!
9. No matter how dinner turns out he always says it was good... I mean I even burnt rice once and he still told me it was a good meal! (We didn't eat the rice I burnt)
10. And most important I love who much he loves me!

Happy Birthday Jeff! I love you!

More Traditions

This being our first Christmas together I decided to ask Jeff about his family traditions growing up and then asked him what he would like to start as one of our very own traditions. Last year during Christmas we went down to St George to see the lights at the Temple (yes I know they are not anything like the real Temple square, but still beautiful and the spirit is undeniable) so this year we made it a point to go and walk around the Temple again in St George. I am happy to note that that is now our FIRST holiday tradition togehter! Yay Christmas! And Yay for such a wonderful husband that is so good at putting me first even though he is working his butt off right now!

This is actually a couple of homes by the Temple. They were all decked out we decided to take a walk to look at their lights as well.

Jeff's cute little face and the path of lights circling the Temple.

I thought this was a cool picture of the Temple so another shot of us!
Merry Christmas everyone!!!

Christmas Traditions

So every year my mom makes a bunch of goodies for the holidays. This year she decided to come up to Cedar and bake all day with me! We had a bnch of fun, some not so good fudge, bad vanilla, and we won't mention Jeff's cinnamon rolls! Thanks mom for bringing the Holiday tradition to me, I am so greatful to have the family I have and not being left out of everything, being the only one who lives out of town!

This would be my mom over a pan of carmel and peanutbutter balls

The finished peanutbutter balls

All the carmels wrapped and ready (I believe there were over 100)

The end of the day when all was done... that would be Bauer, I should have known then that none of my baked goods were safe. He at half that pan of peanutbutter balls, the other half was safe becuase my mom took them home!

This is Mike as many of you know. He travels with my mom. It's one of the ways she gets the grand kids excited about her trips. Rylan like is see where Mike goes so she makes sure to snap a picture of him everywhere. He went to Hawaii with us in April and going to Australia next month!

The cinnamon rolls we weren't mentioning! It was jeff's first time working with yeast, we think he over mixed of fried it! Cute kid!
We did have a great day. Thanks again Mom for coming up and braving the snow! I think she was in shock from the cold, at one point when she got in her car it was -6 out! haha! Desert people!

Christmas Tree

Jeff and I have been looking for a 9 foot tree for a while. We don't have all the space in the world so it had to be a little skinny but we didn't want it too small... so as we were looking through the black friday ads we saw the one we thought would be it. As you know it it was! and we only spent just over 70 bucks on it! woo hoo for Black friday (and gift cards)! So here it is decorated, a much better improvemtnt from my tree last year! Oh and some have been asking for pictures of our dog... that is Bauer in the next picture, glowing eyes and all! Merry Christmas!!

Happy Birthday Mom

Yesterday was my Mom's Birthday. I would have posted yesterday but I was in Vegas and away from the blogging world to celebrate with her and my family. My sister-in-law planned a dinner at her house and had the great idea to do a thanksgiving dinner for her sense Jeff and I will not be with my family this year. My mom did not know Jeff was coming but it wouldn't be a family dinner without all of us, new members and all, so he made the trip down after work yesterday. What a guy... and what a long day for him! Dinner turned out fabulous and it was so nice to be with my mom on her birthday, I have not been able to for a couple of years and It makes me so sad to miss so much living a couple hours away!
My mom deserves the best, she is such an amazing woman! The older I get the more I appreciate and notice. Every step of the way she has been there and I love her for that! I can only hope to be as giving and loving as she is some day! Happy Birthday Mom I love you!

FINALLY... we got our pictures

Prepare for a little bit of a picture over load. I am not sure what to say I think they speak for themselves. I do wish we had a few other shots that worked out better but I'll take these!

The only time I cried during the whole day was when I had to say bye to my Dad on the way to the temple and again when I came out and her was there! What an amazing Father I have.. REALLY!

I love the big groups shots it's fun to remember who was there!

My awkward moment with my Dad... she told me to kiss his cheek and we both about died I think. Sorry I don't kiss my Dad! haha

So I had the picture in my mind that I wanted to get a big print of and have above our fire place but i'm not sure i'm exactly pleased with the ones with the whole Temple in the background... so please give me some advice or comments on which ones you like! (I like this one)

Love this one.

I'm not sure which one of these two I like but this was the best one with the Temple in the background (my original vision..)

Great picture here.

Thought I should throw a smile shot... I'm drawn to the serious looks though!

The rings... minus my band?? Not sure why its  not in the picture but it's pretty!

Happy Halloween

This past Halloween Jeff and I hosted a little party. We thought it would be fun to have a little get together with all the couples that do not have kids yet. Their ended up being about 14 throughout the night, with plenty of food to go around! I made dinner in a pumpkin and pudding dirt then everyone else brought lots of other stuff to munch on! Thanks everyone that came we had a blast!

These are a few pictures of the costumes. Three people came dressed up as Jeff, one couple was Jeff and I and did they ever have Jeff to a T! Soo funny!

This is the softball Jeff... please do not think my husband wears short tight pants.. He doesn't!

This is the red neck side of us. Why do guys think its so funny to be ugly on Halloween!? Worst costume ever for me! Thanks hon!

This is Jeff and I the tag says Jen 2010... Um no no Tyler I think we'll wait just a little bit longer!

This is the best Jeff, the back of his shirt had all of the real Jeff's sayings, and it was all so true! He also had muscle milk, excedrin, doughnuts, sweedish fish and a cinnamon roll in his fanny pack!

The other newly weds at the party, They got married the week after Jeff and I!

Again, we had a lot of fun talkin' and playing games. I don't think anyone went home hungry either! Thanks all for coming over and for dressing up! What would Halloween be without costumes!?

Ring Ceremony

So I fnally got some pictures from our wedding in the mail today. I'm still waiting on pictures from the Temple. These are just a few of the many many many cute candid shots our Photographer Justin Bowen got for us at our ring ceremony in Vegas. He was great to work with, i've been told by a few people at our wedding that they really liked him as did I so if anyone is looking for a great photographer in Las Vegas let me know I'll get you the contact info!

This is our Candy buffet, lots of orange and pink candy with little goodie bags for everyone to take some!

My nephew and niece were the ring bear and flower girl, they did so good!

My dad walking me down the isle, what an amazing Father I have! He was so involved with the wedding and everyhting that went on. He went above and beyond what I asked of him, a girl couldn't have a better dad!

Ok I LOVE this picture, what a stud my little nephew is! The kid just makes me laugh!

Jeff's second ring this marriage... yes he lost his day #4 of our marriage!

This is a fun shot I think, Jeff is just pullin' me along! ha love that man!

Again I LOVE this picture! These are Jeff's nieces and when you told them to smile this is what they did! Oh and Amy... Love your face!

The big group shot of I think just about everyone that came to the ring ceremony. Justing did a great job getting everyone in there! Way to go!

This was one the shots I wanted most, my dad and I dancing!

Jeff and I had a fabulous time and may I just add the second reception was much less stressful. We couldnt have asked for more beautiful weather in Vegas and such a great bunch of people to come and be with us on our special day! We are so excited to see what life has to bring us!
Much love!
