Vegas Bridal Shower

Have to love my Mom for getting us our tennis rackets, Jeff really was so excited when I told him we got some.. It was totally his idea to register for them! For those of you who don't know... My mom loves her some tennis, so thanks mom for keepin' it in the Family! We're excited to play.. you against Jeff and I! Ha ha

Ok is this not the cutest apron EVER?! I love it and it makes me exicted to cook just so I can wear it... or have an excuse to!

This darling cake was made out of towels and lots of sewing pins as the bead work. One of my best friends made it for me and she was so excited about it! thanks Julie... LOVED it!

And of course... what would a Bridal shower be without some of this! I got quite a bit actually and it was all really cute! May I remind you Kram's was wrapped in a loaf of bread with a quote that said "Because Man can't live on bread alone" So funny!
Thank you Holly so much for all that you did! Not only did you throw me a bridal shower you made sure everything was right on our wedding day! You're awsome! I really do have the best family ever!
I also have everyone else to thank that came and thought of Jeff and I as we prepared for our Amazing wedding! Thanks for all the love everyone!

My oh my what a week

My heart is full today with love and appreciation for my family. It has been one heck of a week!
On our way home tonight Jeff and I got in a discussion about how precious every moment really is.
There have been a couple unexpected events to make us bring this discussion up one of which happened today (The other is not my story to tell but what an amazing family... my thoughts and prayers are with you as you go through this difficult time). The past two days Jeff has been in a softball tournament, one of many I have been to... today was by far the worst. In their third game of the tournament a member of the opposite team came up to bat and hit a ball straight at our pitcher, hitting him right in the face. I'm not sure how many of you know much about soft ball but, some guys can hit the ball dang hard. Imagine the sound a ball makes when it is hit square on... that was the same sound it made hitting this man's face. A sound and sight I never want to experience again. He was rushed off to the ER and then we found out he was going to be life flighted to Salt Lake because he was bleeding around his brain.
This shook Jeff and his team up pretty bad because nobody really thought it would be that bad. To make things even worse the team acted as though he deserved it and when the game resumed talked even more smack, just firing our guys up!
We are home now and the latest news we got was that he was doing better, both of his eye sockets are damaged, his nose was shattered, he has a bad blood clot in his forehead and we are still waiting on when surgery is going to be.
Luckily there was a delay in the games becasue of the incident so Jeff and another team mate were able to make it back to the hospital to give him a blessing as they were loading him up!
How greatful I am for the priesthood and that I have an amazing husband that cares so much for others. He sent out the bulk text to the team and they decided to fast and pray for him and his family tomorrow, how blessed we are to have the faith and knowledge we have! I love my husband and am greatful for him more than he will ever know! I also hope the Johnson family knows they are in our thoughts and prayers!
I hope that by writing this I can let go of the images I have had in my head all day of this poor man's face and the puddle of blood left behind, I also hope it motivats pitchers to wear masks so things like this don't happen to another fmaily.
Much Love..

Bridal Shower in South Jordan

So my sweet sister-in-laws all got together and threw me a Bridal shower. I had the chance to meet lots of new family and got a ton of cute things! The woman figure was made by one of his Aunts and it consisted of an ironing board, mop, broom, bowls, towels, and lots of kitchen utensils. Another one of his Aunts made the boquet and inside that was kitchen towels, wash rags, place mats, wooden spoons, and other utensils! What a creative bunch and such cute ideas.
Thanks Amy, Karen and Laurie for the awesome shower!

Sweet Kids!

Ok so my sister-in-law keeps reminding me that my blog is long over due for an update! Well she is right, not only that but, there were things that happened while we were planning our wedding that I need to write down! So... I dedicate this post to my brother's two kids, they keep me and everyone else on their toes and provided me with a few good laughs... after all first you get married then you have a baby!

The weekend after I got engaged I went home and went dress shopping. I had some of the closest people to me come and one of them was my sister-in-law. My brother had been working up here in Utah so the little one's got to come as well. Well Holly has two sisters that are pregnant and due a month apart so the kids have been learning about how the babies are in their tummies and all kinds of stuff.

We had mapped out a few bridal stores we wanted to go to but the second stop is where I found my dress. While I had it on we were talking and my nephew says to me "Aunt Jenn when are you going to have your baby?" Caught off guard, I couldn't help but laugh but had to tell him I wasn't going to have a baby. He then corrected me and said "You're getting married then you are going to have your baby"

A month or so later I am at my mom's house and she was watching the kids. My niece comes over to where I am and lifts up my shirt and pats my tummy and says "baby!" I stated laughing and told her Aunt Jenn doesn't have a baby in her tummy. I was just about to go through which of her Aunts did when my nephew pokes his head around the corner and says "you will soon Aunt Jenn!" Again laughter! Nothing gets past these kids I love it!

These are just a few things that have come up a few times during the wedding planning, and although I can't wait to have kids I do think we will hold off for a little while!
Holly and Jordan~ I give them mad props, their kids catch on to everything and each have such strong personalities! What great parents you are and teaching your kids about getting married first then having kids!

As for Julie and Jessica I am so excited for them they will be wonderful mom's and its fun to see so many babies that are going to be around in the family!
