Engagements

So it has been a couple of weeks sense we actually had our engagements taken but planning all this stuff takes a TON of time... cut me some slack!

Jeff and I decided to just have my mom take the pictures for us to save time and money. I will admit I was a little difficult to work with at times and a little less than happy at times but we ended up getting some cute pictures! My mom did a fabulous job, she always knows how to deal with me and for that I love her!

I also owe a thanks to Jeff's mom for getting us into the reception center to use their yard for some of the pictures, we got some really cute ones all around that place! Thanks susan for coming along and being patient with us as we continued to snap away!
These are just a few pictues from that day, I'm sorry I'm still trying to figure out how to put them on here better and I deleted one but oh well!
By far my favorite is the one of me mocking Jeff and his muscles! he is a studd I love you jeff!

Time to come out and say...

We're Engaged!

I'll start in the beginning of our story... pre-proposal. Wednesday night I was at his house and things were just feeling weird. I ended up leaving and following we had a talk about what was going on. I told him I felt like we were "off" and that it was making me uncomfortable. He replys to that and says "we're both just really stressed out, I'm sorry i've been in a rut lately." Now let me tell you this is not something you want to hear from a guy that you are talking marriage with! I then proceeded to tell him about other things that have been missing lately like how he doesn't do things for me like he use to... so after a few tears and being scared to death because he was in a "rut" and we're not even married yet, I fell a sleep.
Thursday morning I'm at work chattin with the girls, doing what I do all day... and in walks one of his friends with a dozen roses and balloons. Instantly I feel a severe guilt trip for opening my big mouth and making him feel he needed to do this!!
The rest of the day continues as usual, we have a lunch together, talk about how far we were going to run, and what we needed to get done that night.... Until about 5 min. before we close. In walks another one of his friends, new purse in tote! (Thanks Bucky for being man enough to walk into a bank with a purse! You're a good man!) As he walks it up to me he tells me it is talking to him, confused for a min I asked him what the heck was going on and what he was talking about. But when I opened the purse I found Jeff's GPS with a little note. The note said "plug in the coordinates, I'll see you in a minuet. love you"
So, being the obedient nervous-as-all-get-out girl friend, I did as I was told and followed the GPS up the canyon. I found him waiting outside a steak house called Milts but when I got out he told me to get back in my car, again I did as I was told (This doesn't happen much!) He then put a blind fold on me and drove me farther up the mountain. Once we pulled over he helped me get out of the car and walk for as long as he could handle then decided it would be quicker if I got a piggy back ride... now we were cruzin! I was then placed on a 4-wheeler and let me express my instant fear, this guy has only driven a 4-wheeler twice in his life, not a comforting feeling being blind folded and trying to tell him how to turn it on! So funny and so out of character... this is why I love him! Once we got it started we started another trek even farther up the mountain, I swear we were riding for at least 20 min until we got to our final destination, he will say i'm exaggerating but it was FOREVER! He again gave me a piggy back ride to get me up the stairs and once at the top after 5 min of tellin me to promise I wont peek took off my blind fold. We exchanged a few kisses and sweet moments (no need to embarrase him) the left me standing until finally he told me I could open my eyes... when I did this is what I saw...

with him on his knee in front of me! He then gave me his speech (so cute) and went to grab the box...
So as my sweet man tried to open the box and be smooth... he decided to rip the whole lid off, hindges and all! I couldn't help but die laughing but once he composed himself and somewhat put the box back together he asked me If I would marry him!
Of course I said YES! I can't wait to spend my life with him! (don't worry i'm not going to get all mushy...) but I truely do believe he is more than I could ever ask for!
After the proposal we ate some chocolate covered strawberries, drank some sparkling cider, and watched the rain begin to come down...
This is after he proposed, give me a break I had a t-shirt for a blind fold, wind, and rain all before I took this picture, thats kind of the view, if we were't blocking it! :)
and this... this is the after math of us trying to get back down the mountain with rain stinging our faces, my make up everywhere, and mud... oh the mud!
He did an amazing job, so thoughtful and sweet! I love you Jeff!

Hawaii and a new beginning... to blogging!

So I decided to start blogging becasue there are some things that have happened and are coming up that I'm going to want to remember!

A couple of weeks ago I was able to go to Hawaii with my mom and one of my best friends Ange. Some things in life just lead you to a breaking point so I decided It was time to go away. Ange has been there for me through a lot and of course my mom has as well so the three of us enjoyed ourselves on a much needed vacation!
These are just a few pictures from our trip! The classic sunset, beautiful, the three of us above the clouds and one of the active Volcanos, zip line photo, and just a shot of one of the many beautiful scenes of the ocean.
I'm not sure how to fix these pictures but I'll figure it out eventually! The trip was a blast and I'm so glad I got to go and relax with people that are close to me! Thanks mom and Ange for the amazing trip!

First time for everything

Ok so here it goes... my FIRST post! So I set up my blog to talk about my work or things I would like to do someday. For the past month or so I have been working with a builder in Cedar on a re-model. It was been a lot of fun and quite the learning experience. It was supposed to be done by Thanksgiving but it wasn't due to a few set backs. However, I do have some picture of my very first attempt at grouting! I'm not the type of girl that wants to just sit back and watch things get done... I want to do them and learn, I mean who wouldn't!? So in the first picture, It is a counter top on a built in buffet. Then we have the kitchen and the bar we put tile up the side as well. It was so much fun to do (I thought anyway) and hey... I can say I have grouted before... I wouldn't go as far as saying
I know how! Keep
posted I will have before and after pictures hopefully sometime this week... I'm way excited for everyone to see how good it really did turn out!
(Sorry this is the first post so hopefully I will be able to figure things out as I go!)
Jenn :)
